Jonic told me last night that I have nine subscribers to my blog. Nine! I thought only about 4 people were reading it, so I’m a bit chuffed about that.
I am also interested to know who finds me interesting enough to stick around, so if you don’t mind I’d love a comment or two. Obviously if you wish to remain anonymous I won’t hold it against you; it’s just to satisfy my curiosity.
My ice -cream maker hasn’t arrived yet, but I await it eagerly. I also ordered a Be-Ro cookery book (a British institution, for those who don’t know), which I’m very excited about. It only cost £1.50, which was nice.
Jonic and I watched 6 episodes of 24 last night. We’re on series 5, episode 13 now. Obviously it would be cruel of me to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen it, so I won’t. All I will say is that it is absolutely brutal, much more so than any other series. It’s incredible though, as usual.
Something pretty fucking huge happened to me last night as well, which I think is blogworthy (despite being pretty personal, something I’m not too keen on this blog being for fear of alienating those who don’t really know me). I think I’m going to give it a few days to sink in first before blogging about it though. Suffice it to say, after recieving said news I drank quite a lot of vodka and smoked about a million cigarettes.
More on that story later.
I am currently downloading Day of the Tentacle, which I couldn’t be more excited about. I haven’t played it since I was pretty young, I hope my fond memories turn out to be accurate and it’s not actually a big pile of shit.
I’m also compiling a list of video games I have yet to complete/start playing:
- Twilight Princess (I’m on the last dungeon!)
- Disgeaea
- Final Fantasy XII (which I have yet to buy, but am very excited about)
- Final Fantasy X & X2
- Kingdom Hearts I & II
- A lot of Pokemon games for various consoles
- Golden Sun
I think that’s all of them for now, but I’m going to be pretty busy. I doubt I’ll have time for a job, so I’m going to have to start taking donations. Envelopes of money sent to my house would be much appreciated, as would food parcels and free clothes.
I’m subscribed, but then you knew that anyway
Me too, and what he said.
So you’ve gotten to the really shocking and brutal bit then? I cried like a little whiny girl.
If it’s the bit around episode 12 then yes, yes we have. It’s horrific. I cried also, Jonic knew it was coming but somehow managed to keep it from me. I’m not sure how, I wouldn’t have been able to manage it.
Paul: It’s at the end of the third disc. You know, the bit with the event with the thing at the place.
Even though I knew it was coming, it was still shocking. I think it was because, as the viewer, you knew what you were about to see. It was the terrible anticipation that made it hit you all that harder. Having the event drawn out only added to the affect it has on you, because you just want it to be over. Unbearable to watch, but impossible to tear yourself away from.
In short: fantastic telly.
Jenn: How could I have possibly given that away? I’ve spent the entire duration of the episodes we’ve watched so far carefully choosing my words so as to not give anything away… I know that you would have never forgiven me if I’d have told you, unlike the time you told about the bit at the beginning.
You know, the bit with the event with the thing at the place…
By the way Jenn: 11 subscribers today
Remember that the figures only reflect how many people’s feed readers checked your feed for new items. Technically you could have infinity subscribers, but only 11 of them loaded your feed today…
This place is getting quite popular isn’t it?
How’s your feed doing, Paul?
Woop! 11 people?! Gosh.
I doubt I have infinity people reading this, but it’s a nice thought.
