Almost too wee…

There’s an advert for Always on tv at the moment and the woman on it has a very strange bottom…

I recently found out that my housemate Jonathan is moving out, so I’ve been on the hunt for someone to move in with. I seem to get a lot of emails from really strange people with very broken English. Not that I would have a problem living with a foreign person; I’m sure they could speak English much better than I can speak their language, I’d just like to know what it is about my house that’s attracting people I clearly have nothing in common with. However, some normal people have replied (at least I think they’re normal) so we’ll see how that goes.

More adverts… Imagine being the Dulco-ease woman. How embarrassing.

Turtles

I’m very excited about the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. It looks excellent. We can only hope that Shredder and Krang are in it, along with Bebop and Rocksteady.

Why is all music coming out at the moment so rubbish? It’s all very dull, they seem to have completely changed the meaning of the word indie and now it involves wearing very tight jeans, pointy shoes and having a very inflated sense of self-importance. I wish some people would make some good music I could dance to.

The theme music to the O.C is one of the most dreadful songs I’ve ever heard.

i can’t believe you’re dissing the oc! everything about it is perfect.

That song is absolutely hideous and the show itself is a bit too bubblegummy for me. Nobody talks like that in real life. Also I have no desire to watch a bunch of rich kids have issues because they ‘don’t know who they are’ or something. I know the criticism is rich coming from someone who likes Neighbours, but I reserve the right to dislike some crap things and think others are excellent because of their crapness.

We’re just back from TMNT and, despite the fact it had no discernable plot, a good time was had by all.

Was Shredder in it? It looks like a lot of nostalgic fun to me.

Shredder’s dead! He died at the end of Turtles 2.

God Jenn, don’t you know anything?

Shredder took some kind of potion or something and went dead hard but then a load of wood fell on him or something. Don’t do drugs kids!

It would have been funny if he’d have done loads of coke before going on a murderous rampage!

Steve, there is nothing to like about The OC, but I will say this; It’s theme tune might not be quite as bad as Firefly. I’m undecided, but I do know that if Joss Wheddon ever writes another song I’m gonna go round his house and smack him dead hard!

Re: the Firefly theme song…that’s something of a sore spot ’round my way of late…

“Shredder took some kind of potion or something and went dead hard…” - this is a family blog jonic!!!

also, i like the firefly theme tune, indeed i like everything about it. if you want to smack joss whedon you’ll have to go through me.

    Baudy…

I love Firefly itself, it’s just the theme tune I hate. It’s almost as bad as that song what samples Golden Brown.

Firstly, the O.C is fucking awesome, secondly, the firelfly theme has me singing very much along. Thirdly, Firefly is amazing, and thanks to woody for buying it for me. Fourthly, or whatever, I’m truly hammered.

I apologise for my general ignorance about previous Turtles films; I have seen some of them but I have no idea which ones. I did like Bebop and Rocksteady though…
Also, the O.C is not as good as everyone thinks it is. There isn’t even a scrap of realism in it.
I can’t comment on the firefly theme, but I imagine I’ll agree with Jonic as most of our music tastes are the same.

Here be the theme tune… I’m glad that you automatically took my side… I wouldn’t put it down to our similar music tastes, though… I’d say that it’s got more to do with the fact that we both instantly hate everything until it’s proved itself worthy of praise.

Speaking of hatred, and the application thereof:

What was that you were saying about The OC being ‘fucking awesome‘ Paul?

I’m catching up on the most recent episodes of the OC … and I’m so perplexed as to how these kids get so regularly into trouble? Taylor has decided to woo Ryan by becoming his (wait for it) sleep therapist, and Summer has gotten into trouble at University by, you guessed it, stealing an overweight bunny rabbit. And they wonder why it got cancelled.

The OC is utter shit and isn’t even worth watching for the fanny…
