I’m glad it’s not just me. I think the mental health nurse guy thought I wasn’t trying, but it’s always good having doctor parents who’ll back you up!
Beta blockers are genius. I didn’t know they were linked to asthma, is that common? I had it when I was a baby but haven’t noticed anything since taking them.

Thanks for all the comments; I’m glad you’ve found it interesting. It’s nice to strike a chord with people, even if it is about something a bit crap!

Have always felt the same about CBT to be honest – it’s like those anti-stress classes I used to go to. I feel as if there’s nothing there I couldn’t already find on the Internet, and that I’m trying to trick my addled brain in ways it can easily outsmart.

I used to take beta blockers along with my anti-depressants – they really helped with stress headaches, for example – but then I had a recurrence of childhood asthma and got told to come off them. Tempted to try them again though.

Not really. But one of my best friends moved there recently, so hopefully I won’t be leaving it so long next time! x

Next weekend? I would have loved to but we’re away at a wedding! Gutted. And I haven’t really had the chance to explore Manchester yet, so that would have been lovely. Do let me know next time you’re around though – do you come to Manchester a lot? x

Thanks for sharing this. It can be so hard to talk about, can’t it? I feel the same about my depression.

i signed on when i came back from working on a cruise ship. it was a tough decision but the only option at the time and i hated it. hated it. BUT, it was a means to an end and it helped me get through that ‘patch’.
And you know what, when you do get that amazing job and you see how many ££ go to the taxman, you will be glad you did.

There is no way I could be a DJ, not in a million years. Good websites though, I have bookmarked the heck out of them.

I seem to be better at choosing fabric for cushions and chairs than for clothes anyway – my last dress made me look like a mental patient apparently.
